2015 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 12,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Weighed But Found Wanting

Imagine yourself in an enclosed white room. In front of you is a weighing scale. You step into the platform, one foot first and then the other. Little by little and point by point, the dials moves and stops at 50 kg. You look at the mirror in front of you. You are extremely obese.

Painful truth: You can always be the best that you can be and can have all the knowledge and skills that it takes to be the best and think out of the box, but you can never be enough. Continue reading

Continue reading

Paano Hatiin ang Inheritance Kapag Testamentary Succession With Feelings

Una. Alamin mo kung magkano ang naiwang estate. Yung sakto ha. Walang labis at walang kulang.

Continue reading

First Close Encounter with Leevon Cailao and the Rest of Side A Band

I was never a fan girl and I told myself that I will never be. Well, maybe I don’t have so much time for doing ‘fan things’ or in chasing celebrities. Most of my time is spent at work and Law School and with family and friends every weekends.  Yeah, I like Paramore, The Script, Mayday Parade and all other rock bands as well as some ballads and alternative bands but not to the extent which levels into a super fan mode. I rather watch them or use their photos as my phone and PC wallpaper. I don’t give so much time watching their performances over Youtube but I do download and keep songs of them.

Side A Band: Timeless and Forever

I was never a fan girl not until my B introduced Side A to me when he showed me a video compilation of the Side A band. Don’t get me wrong. I like the songs of Side A but I only know a few. I watched in those videos how their then-front man Joey Generoso did an amazing performance. That was the sign that I am going to be a fan of Side A. After a number Joey’s performance, my B told me, “Bujoy tingnan mo, aalis si Joey G. dyan sa stage. Yung lead guitarist ang kumanta ng Later e.” And I was like, “Oh talaga?” So I watched the video of Later and that’s when I started being a super fan of Leevon Cailao. Continue reading

On Luneta Emcee During the Concluding Mass of Pope Francis at the Quirino Grandstand

In my own personal opinion and as one of the millions of Catholics who was there, there is nothing wrong about what Father Hans has done during the Luneta event. If people think that Father Hans disrupted the solemnity of the event, I STRONGLY DISAGREE.
