First Close Encounter with Leevon Cailao and the Rest of Side A Band

I was never a fan girl and I told myself that I will never be. Well, maybe I don’t have so much time for doing ‘fan things’ or in chasing celebrities. Most of my time is spent at work and Law School and with family and friends every weekends.  Yeah, I like Paramore, The Script, Mayday Parade and all other rock bands as well as some ballads and alternative bands but not to the extent which levels into a super fan mode. I rather watch them or use their photos as my phone and PC wallpaper. I don’t give so much time watching their performances over Youtube but I do download and keep songs of them.

Side A Band: Timeless and Forever

I was never a fan girl not until my B introduced Side A to me when he showed me a video compilation of the Side A band. Don’t get me wrong. I like the songs of Side A but I only know a few. I watched in those videos how their then-front man Joey Generoso did an amazing performance. That was the sign that I am going to be a fan of Side A. After a number Joey’s performance, my B told me, “Bujoy tingnan mo, aalis si Joey G. dyan sa stage. Yung lead guitarist ang kumanta ng Later e.” And I was like, “Oh talaga?” So I watched the video of Later and that’s when I started being a super fan of Leevon Cailao. Continue reading
